The world’s islands, 365 days a year

Every island has
a story worth
telling all year.

Isla365 is the editorial home behind a growing family of island guides: shaped by people who travel relentlessly, researched in depth, and refreshed every day of the year. One standard, many shores.

01 — Who we are

The mother brand for a constellation of island guides.

Most travel coverage of the world’s islands is thin, dated, and recycled from the same press releases. We started Isla365 to do the opposite: guides shaped by people who actually travel, checked against the facts, and updated the moment something changes.

Each site in the network carries its own name, voice, and audience, yet shares one editorial backbone: real travel experience, deep research across many sources, honest recommendations, and a refusal to recycle the same ten beaches everyone already knows. Isla365 is where that standard is set, maintained, and held accountable.

03 — Our story

We were tired of island guides that were stale the day they published.

Isla365 began with two travellers who can’t sit still: months spent living in the Dominican Republic, Thailand and Vietnam, road trips and winter tents across Europe. We wanted island guides as restless and current as the way we travel.

2025

The first guide

A single island, a lot of legwork, and a promise: nothing published that we wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

2026

A network forms

More islands joined the family. Instead of franchising a formula, we built one shared platform and standard, and let each guide keep its own voice.

TODAY

Isla365

The editorial home that keeps every guide independent, honest, current, and unmistakably of its place, all year round.

04 — Editorial policy

The standard we
hold every shore to.

Four principles bind the network. They are non-negotiable, and they are why our recommendations can be trusted.

01

Researched, not recycled

Every guide is built from deep research, real travel experience, and official sources, then revisited as things change. No copied-and-pasted press releases.

02

Independent by default

Recommendations are never for sale. Sponsored content is always clearly labelled and never disguised as editorial.

03

Accurate & current

We revisit, re-check, and date our coverage. If a place closes or changes, the guide changes with it — that’s the 365 in our name.

04

Respectful of place

We cover communities, environments, and cultures with care — promoting travel that gives back more than it takes.

05 — The team

The people (and corgi) behind the network.

Alex Borshch

Founder & Editor

Has lived months at a time in the Dominican Republic, Thailand and Vietnam, and road-trips Europe by tent. Started Isla365 to give every island the guide he wished he’d had on day one.

Iryna T.

Roving Editor

Can’t stay home for long: always mid-trip or already planning the next one. Hunts down the experiences and corners of each island the guidebooks miss.

Sheldon

Editor-in-Chief

The network’s four-legged editor-in-chief: a corgi of refined taste who vets every recommendation nose-first and enforces a strict beach-walk-per-story policy.

Local voices and on-the-ground tips are a layer we’re adding as the network grows. Live on an island we cover? Write to us →
